Katy + Ryan had the most beautiful day for their wedding at Black Star Farms in Traverse City. Katy + Ryan's love is so effortless. They are in love and it is obvious, which makes my job easy. From photographing them all day, I felt like they were truly soaking up and enjoying every second of their wedding day; whenever I looked at them there were happy tears or huge smiles on their faces. My favorite part of the day was at the end of the reception when Katy surprised Ryan with having the DJ play one of his favorite songs, "American Pie" and all of their guests surrounded them as they danced in the center and everyone sang the entire song; it gave me goosebumps... it was so beautiful. In that moment you could see how much all of their guests adored this couple. It was truly a joy to be a part of such a genuine day of love. Congratulations Katy + Ryan! I hope you are able to relive your wedding day over and over again with these images.

Tracey + Steve had a picture perfect wedding day at the old Douglas school house. Pretty much all of Tracey and Steve's guests were traveling so they had an entire weekend of celebrating with their guests. Tracey's look was absolutely flawless; from her adorable custom made tea length dress, to her hair, to her sparkly Kate Spade shoes, to her super fun colorful florals. Some of my favorite details were all of the Tracey's sentimental details that honored her grandmother. She had a piece of her grandmother's sweater sewed into her dress, a photo of her hanging on her bouquet, she wore her ring, and her and her sister have matching tattoos of their grandmothers handwriting. And best of all Tracey + Steve had their wedding on her grandma's birthday; so many great ways to honor such a special person in Tracey's life. The day was filled with fun, love, beautiful details, great people, a TON of dancing, great food, and the best weather. Cheers to Tracey + Steve!

Katie and Erik have something that you can't teach when you are photographing a couple. They are naturally adorable in all that they do... really I am not even exaggerating. It is so beautiful to be able to watch two people interact and just see their love pour out as you do so. Katie and Erik met in their creativity class at Grand Valley so it was only fitting that we took portraits where it all began. I loved photographing these two and their wedding day; it was a perfect day full of emotion, laughter, yummy deserts, love, and great dancing. Cheers to Katie + Erik!

Laura + Bryan's wedding was a wedding that I want to be at every weekend. Laura and Bryan are just great people to be around; I think I could laugh for an entire day straight with them. Laura's family is from Michigan and Bryan's family is from New York, so there were a lot of New Yorkers traveling to the little town of Middleville, Michigan. Laura and Bryan's friends and family were just as much fun as them (which I wasn't expecting anything less). The night started out strong on the dance floor and continued on the entire night. I loved Laura and Bryan's no look that took place right before the ceremony. My favorite was the moment Laura covered his eyes and give him a kiss (also one of my favorite photos). The day was filled with great love, the best bride and groom, bride and groom dinosaur centerpieces, cigars, farm animals, great dancing, and fun people; I feel like you can't ask for much more. Congratulations Laura + Bryan and thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
