Golden Colorado Wedding | Amy & Tyler

This wedding is a little extra special because I've known Amy for quite a few years.  She was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed way back, early on in my business, and since then has been in few more.  They've become much more than clients over the years, but an incredible group of friends that I've photographed from the engagement session to the birth of their babies.  I think I've become an honorary bridesmaid ;)  I was so excited to hear that is was finally Amy's turn to walk down the aisle and after meeting Tyler it's very clear how special their relationship is, and just how much they love each other.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day, stress free travel out to Colorado, the most beautiful 70 degree wedding day with bright sunny skies (crazy story though because the next day it dropped to the 30s with a snow storm), clearly the most awesome wedding party every, and a amazing couple in love enjoying their day and willing to hike a mountain for great pics.  Beth and I flew in a day early, scouted all the sweet spots for pictures, which of course were at the top of a mountain edge with amazing views of the snow capped Rockies, but then I spent the night having nightmares about Amy slipping on the loose rocks and falling over the mountain edge.  Luckily, despite 6 inch heels, rugged terrain, and a few stumbles we safely made it through pictures and partied the night away.  Nothing could have made it more perfect.  Thank you Amy and Tyler for trusting me enough to fly me halfway across the country to document your wedding.  I'm so incredibly honored and grateful that I got to be an honorary bridesmaid with a camera on your special day too.  Wishing you many wedding blessings in your new beginning together.

Fountain Street Church Wedding | Chad & Amanda

Fountain Street Church Wedding | Chad & Amanda

Amanda and Chad were married downtown Grand Rapids at one of downtown's most beautiful churches in a fairy-tale inspired wedding.  It was definitely a fairy-tale day surrounded by a wonderful group of friends and family, full of emotions, joy, and laughter. My favorite part of the day was the sound of the church bells chiming as the newly weds ran out of the church doors...and the cupcakes....still thinking about those cupcakes, yum!  Congrats to Dr. & Mrs. Parkes

Urban Engagement | Cyndi & Christina

Cyndi and Christina are a two special people, first off because they rock bright purple hair like no other I've seen.  I really want to have bright purple hair now, not lying.  Second, normal people would think I'm absolutely crazy for taking them into an abandoned factory filled with graffiti and trash, not Cyndi and Christina.  They were totally up for the adventure, and it was really fun hanging out with them, can't wait for wedding day!

Southwest Michigan Wedding | Scott & Amanda

Southwest Michigan Wedding | Scott & Amanda

I first met Scott and Amanda for their engagement session earlier this summer.  They are fun to be around, easy to photograph, and just simply in love.  I love the way Scott looks at Amanda, there is so much adoration in his eyes.  In fact, I think I grabbed that look multiple times throughout the day.  My favorite memory was Scott's reaction as Amanda walked down the aisle.  You could tell he was trying really hard to hold back that emotion and it just came flooding out.  It's probably the reaction every brides hopes for when she sees her groom for the first time.  I had such a wonderful time documenting their day of love, thanks for sharing it with me!
