It was a rainy spring day with the sweet smell of blooming lilacs, a perfect day for Kristen and Justin's wedding. What I love the most about these two is they way they look at each other. There is just a quiet, comfortable adoration for each other. Justin knows how to make Kristen smile, and I think Justin just smiled all day looking at his lovely bride. Thank you for choosing me to be part of your special day, which was full of deep meaningful moments. Shout out to one of Kristen's bridesmaids, Lindsey, who was one of my 2009 brides (holy cow can't believe it was 2009). It's always extra special to see a familiar face ;)
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Clark!

I've known Dan for quite a few years, and I've had the chance to watch him begin and then flourish in his own photographer adventures. Now Dan and Carrie run a photography business of their own (check it out here), so of course it's extra special to be asked to document the wedding day of another fellow photographer. The love these two have for each other made every single moment feel vibrant, warm, and cozy, even on a dull, cold, and gloomy December day in Michigan. Couldn't have asked for more, thank you both for sharing this day with me. I wish you many wedding blessings in your journey together.

Sam and Tyler, I don't know where to begin in describing this wonderful couple and their special day. Luckily, I feel like these images speak volumes far better than anything I could write. It was truly a joyful and fun day, with literally everything being absolutely perfect, beautiful November light, delicious donuts from Sam's home town, and of course a sweet couple simply enjoying their special day. Sam and Tyler chose to do a "no look" first look where they are together but don't actually "see" each other. I've done a "no look" first look before so that wasn't really new, but this wedding was a "no look" first look that included bridal party and family pictures, you wedding photographers out there are going WHAT!? .. and yes I wasn't so sure how well that would go but it went flawlessly. First and foremost, because every single person at their wedding was awesome and helped everything flow so smoothly and better yet it made for some truly sweet and emotional moments right before they tied the knot. Didn't hurt that we had the chance to take advantage of that magical light later in the evening for their couple together pictures, which makes every wedding that much more dreamier. Thank you both for allowing me to share this special day with you, I hope these images bring back the best of all those wonderful memories of the day.
