November isn't exactly the most ideal time of year for a beach engagement session, but we've been pretty lucky this year. It's been a pretty mild season, but don't let me get you wrong, it was still a little chilly and VERY windy. Brianna and Zach are troopers, we hiked a long, long way through Rosy Mound Park, enjoying the gorgeous light and excitement of being engaged. When we arrived at the beach it was closing in on twilight and that wind made it feel so much colder than it had been all day. These two made every moment look amazingly gorgeous. Thank you both for sharing this special time with me and allowing me to document your love.
It had been a long, long time since I had been to Milwaukee, so of course I was instantly excited when Patrick and Jessica asked me to make the trip out for their engagement session. I grew up in Chicago, my dad was a professor at Marquette University in Milwaukee, so I have fond memories of my trips to this city with my dad....but like I said that was a long, long time ago. Milwaukee is so much different than I remember, it was really cool to check out all the unique spots around town like the downtown market, the island park with the gorgeous city backdrop, old historic warehouses and alleys, a beautiful park up on a bluff overlooking the lake shore, you name it we did it. We really had so much fun, Patrick and Jessica are awesome people and made our evening incredible. What's better for an engagement session than a wonderful couple, a new city with many new places to photograph, gorgeous weather, and gorgeous light. I can not forget to say a special thank you to my always supportive, super amazing, world's best light bouncer husband. It's nice to have your best friend along for the road trip. Thank you, babe, for being my companion, my personal Sherpa and light bounce extraordinaire. Thank you Jessica and Patrick for giving the the opportunity to come to Milwaukee and shoot your engagement session, it was so fun! Can't wait for wedding day.

I adore these two and it was pretty obvious on their wedding day, that a lot of other people do too. Cara and Spencer had the most beautiful and warm November day in Michigan. I met Spencer and Cara last November in the middle of our first blizzard so it was hard to tell what it would look like on their November wedding day, but it was the complete opposite from last November. You may remember their engagement session and their big pup Finn. Well Finn is just the luckiest dog in the world and got to take some pictures with his Mom and Dad on their wedding day! Spencer even made some time to play a little fetch with him. I have been long awaiting Cara and Spencer's wedding day and am very happy to post a preview of these wonderful people.
