Amy + Joel had a beautiful wedding in Grand Rapids surrounded by family and friends that adore them. Amy and Joel are high school sweethearts and that right there just makes you want to smile. One of my favorite parts of their day was during the ceremony; their pastor asked them to write each other love letters and he read them during the ceremony. It was something I haven't seen before and I loved that it invited all of their guests into their lives and their love story. Another memorable part of the day also involved letters. As Amy was hiding away before the ceremony her bridesmaids gave her a gift and part of the gift were all letters that they wrote to her as a bride. Such a memorable time for Amy and her girls. I hope you enjoy this preview of Amy + Joel's day of love at the McKay Ballroom!

The Grand Rapids Public Museum was the perfect venue for Eryn + Ryan to celebrate with their family and friends traveling near and far. While they were planning the wedding, Eryn and Ryan told me that they wanted to do their best to show off Grand Rapids because both of their families and many of their guests were traveling from out of town. The ceremony spot overlooking the river and the blue bridge was the perfect spot for their guests to soak in all of Grand Rapids and its beauty. Eryn and Ryan made sure that no detail was left untouched for their reception at the Grand Rapids Public Museum: from the handmade coaster favors with all different photos of Grand Rapids, to the delicious Michigan cookies, and even the personalized wedding koozies. I'm so glad I was able to witness and capture your wedding day, Eryn + Ryan!

It's a pretty exciting thing for a wedding photographer when you have a bride with a flower crown or a cathedral veil, but when you have a bride with both... it's like wedding photographer mind explosion overload. There was just so much pretty at every turn for this wedding, not to mention a couple that was simply lovely together. Props to Ashley, she is seriously a trooper rocking her stiletto Christian Louboutins all day and even hiked into the woods to get some pictures with the horses we found along our adventures, in said stiletto Louboutins. Couldn't have asked for more, congrats to you both. It was a beautiful, emotional, heartfelt day of celebrating love, I'm honored to have documented it.

Leah + Jonny are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met. You might remember them from their lovely Fall engagement. Their love is genuine and their happiness shines through in their actions. I absolutely loved photographing these two and all of their love and happiness that poured out in our time together. Oh.. and their first look... of course it was epic and beautiful and full of happy tears! Leah + Jonny had a little bit of rain on their day (and when i say a little rain it was actually a down pour), but it was at the exact perfect time. It rained right when we finished pictures and was over by the time guests starting arriving at the church. Thank you Leah + Jonny for having us capture your day and allowing us to celebrate with your family and friends, you truly are beautiful people inside and out.
