I had so much fun visiting all different beautiful locations in Grand Rapids with these two. April and Jonathan know how to look beautiful in photographs and make each other laugh. I told April she could wear pretty much anything on her wedding day and look just adorable. Isn't her haircut the cutest?! It is only about a month and a half away until these two tie the knot. Can't wait!

I have been so excited to post this engagement session! Tiffany and James thought out every detail of their engagement session making it just right for them and extremely meaningful. We started with their little family (the cutest little girl and the best behaved dog ever). I already know that Dahlia is the luckiest girl ever because she got to name her dog Elsa :) We ended in the country with an old truck that James built with his daughter beside him the whole time. The truck started life as an old 1953 farm truck. When James first got it, it was just a cab in pieces. He found a truck bed from an old 1949 Chevy and a newer drive train out of a 1988 Chevy pickup truck. After putting all of those pieces together, he added more of the detail work, like the old barn wood on the sides that came from his dad's old barn.
" When James and I started talking last summer, the truck was one of the first subjects that we talked in depth about. On our second official date, James and I went to a car show together with the truck and we sat together and talked all day and it was later that evening that he kissed me for the first time and asked me to be his girlfriend. So, we like to think the truck had a special part in our love story, and that's why he branded it forever with our initials" - Tiffany
Tiffany lost a family member a few years ago and his favorite thing was bikes, so Tiffany new she had to incorporate bikes into their engagement session as well. Wait till you see how cute these two look riding their bikes through the country. I hope you enjoy this preview as much as I do! Patiently awaiting their wedding at the Centennial Barn!

Chelsea + Chad are people you just want to be around. They are sweet, kind-hearted, and if you know them at all, you know they are of course a lot of fun! Their ceremony was at the beautiful St. Alphonsus Parish... and when I say beautiful I mean it! Wait until you see the detail inside of this church. It was one for the books. They ended the day at the Goei Center for their reception. One of my favorite parts of the day was Chelsea and Chad's first look. Even though they weren't going to be able to see each other for long they wanted to make sure and see each other before the ceremony. They had a private moment together where they could soak it all in before saying I do. Chad's mom passed a few years back and they did so many beautiful things to honor her throughout the day; from Chad walking down the isle with a bouquet of flowers and putting it next to his dad where she would be sitting, to Chelsea having pictures of her on her bouquet, and Chad dancing with his sister and his Aunt during first dances. I heard endless great things about her throughout the day. Another highlight of their wedding was their guest book. They had a polaroid camera for guests to take their pictures with and then stick it in their guest book with a note. (I know right?! It was amazing). Chelsea + Chad had the most perfect day and they deserved it! I hope you enjoy this little preview.

Last October I had the pleasure of shooting Patrick and Jessica's engagement session in a vibrant and beautiful city of Milwaukee, WI. I knew then that this would such an amazing wedding because these two are so fun, full of life and laughter, and just genuinely awesome people. I don't think I have ever laughed and party as hard as I did with this bridal party. We created some pretty epic memories, and I don't think there was one moment where these two could avoid smiling and laughing together. It was so fun to share and document a day full of awesome moments. I wish you both many wedding journey blessings.
