Kathleen + Andrew have a natural love. The way they express their love is beautiful and as you could imagine it is beautiful to photograph. I had a hard time picking their portraits for this blog preview because there were so many moments between the two of them. Their family and friends were a joy to be surrounded with all day. From the bridesmaids having the most hilarious conversations, to the incredible and visible love that Andrew and Kathleen's parents have for each other and their families. Some of my favorite parts of the day were... well of course Kathleen's dress (you will understand when you see it), Kathleen's hand made pieces like her hair piece and Andrew's handkerchief, the thoughtful/beautiful/fun ceremony officiated by a family friend, the amazingly gorgeous gold cake, and every flavor of cheesecakes you could imagine at the reception made by the brides mother. Kathleen + Andrew had the best day and I hope you enjoy this preview!

I have been beyond lucky with fantastic couples this year. Emily + Ryan made the entire day their own with their own little touches. Their absolutely stunning church was a great start for their guests traveling to Muskegon (seriously, this church was amazing). Their reception followed right down the street at The Century Club Ballroom. Emily's glam and pink touches really played out well in the ornate and newly remolded late 1800's building. I absolutely loved the way the pink sequin tablecloth on the head table looked with the color of the brick. Although, I wasn't able to see it or photograph it, Emily told me that Ryan refinished his great grandmothers vanity and gave it to Emily as a wedding gift the night before their wedding. How stinkin' cute and thoughtful is that? That's a guy right there! Some of my other favorite moments of the day were the guys USA socks representing the US in the first day of the olympics, Emily's pins on her bouquet, when Emily surprised Ryan during their portraits with her something blue which was Mrs. Hoogstra embroidered in the underneath of her dress, Ryan's speech thanking everyone for coming and expressing the best day of his life, and the very special (and yummy) desserts that were all made by different family members. I just love these two and I hope you enjoy their little wedding preview!

I feel like I have to preface this wedding with the fact that it was really, really, really hot. Like we're talking 95 degrees and about that much in humidity too, and everyone was outside the entire day with no air conditioning. It's not easy to cuddle, or kiss, even hold hands, or just celebrating in general with that kind of stifling heat BUT that was not at all the attitude on Travis and Larissa's special day. We had such a blast with the wedding party, everyone just rolled with it, excepted that we were going to melt, and made it an absolutely perfect and special day for Larissa and Travis. It was full of so many heartfelt and sincere emotions, genuine joy and love was shared and it was awesome to photograph. At the end of the night we even had some really cool storm clouds roll in for pictures. It was truly a special day and I honored to have shared it, congrats Travis and Larissa!

Jenny and Eric had a destination wedding for their wedding guests at the Mission Table in Traverse City. I always love heading up to Traverse City for weddings, and this was no exception. Jenny and Eric had the most tasteful intimate wedding overlooking the Bay and then headed into the adorable Mission Table Harbor Room for their reception. Everything was beyond beautiful and the day was relaxed, enjoyable, and intimate. Jenny and Eric really made their day about being with those they love and I feel like that is truly what a wedding should look like. Some of my favorite parts of the day were the yummy food, Jenny's blue shoes, the colorful flowers, the succulents (I always love succulents), Jenny and Eric having their close friend marry them, the emotional heartfelt toasts, Jenny's niece walking her down the aisle and waving to everyone the entire time, the astonishing sunset, and most of all the kindest couple there ever was: Jenny + Eric. Enjoy!
